I have just had a Steroid injection directly into the shoulder Tendon up at teh Nuffield type hospital in H Heath and apart from it hurting like hell, when the injection is removed from the arm, the blood pressure for some reason drops like a stone.

Anyway, he took the needle out and I went white and had to grab the bench next to me or I was away.

They manoevered me on to a bed and I lay there trying not to pass out for a good 10 minutes.

Going to have something to eat and then to bed.

If anyone suggests one of these injections, do not eat or drink cofee before hand or it will all come up

You great wuss. I had to have several of those injections in my elbow when I had RSI.
Yes, they hurt but I never felt like fainting.

Working for 25 years for Yorkshire Electricity. Their software was so decrepit that I had to input the ten digit customer number every time I changed screens and there were 15 different screens just dealing with payments and meter readings.
I had both tennis elbow and golfer's elbow.

Breathing techniques can make it virtually painless.

I had 25 needles put in my back and 2 of them stung while I mastered the technique.

You'd like to think they'd tell you that beforehand as a matter of course aye?

Frozen shoulder? I had one of those injections. Bloody painful but no post-puncture dodgyness for me luckily.

*machoman*

Although when I was a teenager I did faint after having blood taken...I looked at it while it was happening!!
