Not being funny, but how can John Terry get into an all time great side?

Also is this any era or within dates? How would players like Matthews, Edwards or say Lofthouse cope or perform in todays game?

Bloody hell Unc it was just supposed to be a bit of fun.

I stuck Terry in there because he is one of my all time favorites. I was opening it up for everybody else to do their own, make suggestions etc... There are no restrictions but I understand with people's varying ages certains calls will be different.

Just throwing some names up for comment.
I just looked at your post and the name Colin Monk came into my mind... Derren Brown or what?

Surely not Barnes and Beardsley???? Shearer or Greaves up front. Barnes never did nearly enough for England.

As for Beckham.........................

Please tell me your joking. The bloke can't head a ball, can't tackle properly and can't beat a player. I'm not doubting he is a very fine player, but to make a comment like that is ludicrous.

Trevor Steven was a better right sided midfielder.
