All of you who sat with the home support should be awarded a medal . How you managed to keep quiet and hold everything in when we scored absolutely beggars belief.

I'm still shocked at my own reaction. I dont think I've ever gone so mental over an albion goal, ever

I managed it at Swindon in the Play-offs last season, had to sit on my hands at times and just look glum when our goal went in, the people sat around me figured that I was a Brighton fan and just wished us well in the final against Bristol City (and that was before they had played the second leg). I was lucky to be surrounded by decent football fans who accepted defeat graciously, I can't say that I would have expected the same reaction had I sat in the home end at Upton Park.

Bloody difficult but when the place is full of Phil Mitchell you tend to lose your voice - had to let off steam in the pub afterwards

It was a strange experience certainly, but when you look at the people around you, it makes you keep quiet.

I did keep my coat zipped up over my mouth to hide the smug grin on my face though.:lolol:

It didn't help that I was with a group of neutrals who kept asking me about the Brighton players!

I think my shout of "Yeeesssssss!!!" when we scored was probably a bit too audible, too.

But I survived, and would do it again. There weren't too many Phil Mitchell lookalikes in the Doc Martens upper, so I never actually felt under any threat at all.

There were others around me, too, as I recognised some faces!!

Exactly what I did Buckingham, it was very weird when the Albion goal went in.

Was with Dwayne who almost gave it away by hugging his brother but then recovered and put his head in his hands. Quite fortunate too as it was very near us that all the aggro started.

Very difficult to talk about match while it was on though, had to keep changing we for Brighton and vice-versa.

I think they'd rumbled we were Brighton fans by the time we scored, so there was little use pretending, just toned down the celebarations a fair bit. Jolly good bunch in the Doc Martens upper, though, on the whole.

I only gave myself a couple of times when Albion players made great tackles - I was with a Hammers mate so I didn't want to rub it in too much when we scored anyway, watching 3,000 people go mental helped, I celebrated vicariously through them

I was in the Centenary stand lower. next to the BHA fans and it was hairy, apart from one good guy in front of me, who came all the way from Preston the rest around me were not in the Q when Inteligence was dished out .

When we scored all 5 of us, just sort of grinned at each other, the bloke in front (from Preston), shook my hand and said well done, i muttered something like 'well we did not deserve that' he replied, 'no well done for keeping quiet'.

Some of the better comments from the 'Mitchells' were ' I wished the F*****G Gay Brighton C***S got killed with that Tanker' was a nice one and 'we will stuff them second half as the Gay C***s will all die from aids'

Nice....

i was out of my seat, but when punched suddenly by mate i managed to turn it into one of those arm waving moments of disgust

the hardest bit was when mullins and virgo were fighting. i shouted bloody have him virgo, but licikly everyone else was shouting as well so it wasn't noticed, although i guess most people around gathered i was a brighton fan. and the sense of irony i got when booing the team was great

Didn't get a ticket as last time we played there I went with a mate and his girlfriend who were Hammers fans we went in the home end.

Kept quiet whne Mike Small scored and felt I was doing OK until at HT the girlfriend said 'You must be happy at being 1 up!!' Thought the world might end. Thankfully they won 2-1 otherwise it might have been different.

Have to say that when I went to Sheff Utd years back and went in the home end I didn't keep quiet when Dean Saunders scored and a few burly Yorkshire Men got a bit irate to say the least!

I'm sure you all had a great day out despite the need to be restrained when Super Guy's goal went in. :clap2: :clap2:

I trust they weren't the same people complaining about QPR fans in the home end at the Withdean a few weeks ago. :p

Excellent stories, well done.Sorry to say though that i'm extremely glad that wasn't me there. Utter delirium is how i'd like to describe it best.I found myself standing and whooping like a gorilla then my vision blurred and i missed Virgs getting sent off incredibly.
