It is reported that Man City are to purchase the entire playing staff of Crystal Palace F C in a bid to lure Iain Dowie to the club.
City have asked Dowie if he would consider a move back up North to be closer to his family, but Dowie stated that he has such a talented bunch of Players Crystal Palace, any move would be seen to be a massive step in the wrong direction in his Managerial ambitions therefore he would have to request the entire team followed him to the dark skys of Manchester.
Also Palace should still survive in the premier league with the crop of talent they have in the reserves squad.

Dowie could walk with cv intact + I imagine the support at Man City is obviously better than that from Croydon , not to meantion the chairman.
