You mean you asked him who is in charge of this mess and he raised his eyebrows and said "good God"?
She (for it was a lady steward who told me) said nothing about him being "good".

I did meet him, though. And he was very decisive and determined to get things right. From a coach driver's point of view, he was very helpful and was doing a fine job.

Just remind me exactly where did the 1901s think they were going to park when they made their purchase bearing in mind no application for Bennetts field had been made at that stage?????

When we bought the seats they told us they were building a car park "on-site" for 1901 members...

I have never been to a ground where the stadium parking was quick to leave and it has rarely been with crowds of 20k. People should just be grateful that they can park close to the stadium if they choose to and accept that it might take them a while to get away. Unfortunately parkers seem to feel they have some devine right to get straight out on to the road before anyone else. Anything less than an hour isn't that bad and should be the accepted penalty for being lazy (disabled aside of course).

It will improve. A little more patience and less ranting is needed.

Why is everyone in such a hurry anyway? Are people's lives really so busy that an extra 30mins in a queue is that important. I imagine the people who stress about this are the same people who huff and puff standing in a queue at the bank or the supermarket and are not satisfied unless they can always do what they want when they want. There must be more important things in life to get wound up about. Use the time as a gift. How often do we get an hour of free time in which to ponder life's great imponderables. Or do your blood pressure a favour and buy a cd of calming whale song or an audiobook on relaxation techniques. ;)

And nor should she. That's why all the stewards have unique numbers on their jackets so you can identify them if you wish to complain ( or praise ! ).

Here's an idea - scrap all near stadium parking apart from for disabled people and public transport - would that make people happier ?

Personally I've caught the S bus with no issues at all - all very smooth and fast. I have no idea why any able bodied person would decide to drive to the stadium.

She never had a number on her jacket that why she was asked for her name!

;)

I have been to the new Wembley on many occasions, parking in the car park right next to the stadium and on each occasion I have driven off straight away, out of the car park in five minutes. All crowds were 90k. it's not THAT difficult to achieve.

The difference is that the road system around the Amex was designed to accommodate not much more than 60 bus and coach movements and NO parked cars. Don't forget how late in the day came the decision to let 650-odd cars on to the site.

That's a SPLENDID idea Westy. Give people the option of a refund on the the £360 they've already forked-out for their parking spot; if necessary free up some space for disabled supporters by moving able-bodied parking to the University car parks; & get somebody in who knows what the f*** they're doing to sort out the vehicular egress at the end of the match. Sorted.

Yep I know that but then perhaps the club should have thought of this before selling 2,400 1901 places and the parking spaces that go with it. In short they took the money with big greedy eyes then thought oh hang on.

Pre match I don't think anyone has an issue. If you can stick around after for "a few beers" then of course it isn't a problem. Me, I'd like to be on my way within 30 minutes of final whistle .. I don't think that's unreasonable, ain't happened yet despite 3 different ways - none of'em Bennetts btw

Sergi,Nobody is saying that Bennetts Field parkers have a divine right to go before anyone else, but they would like to slowly filter out instead of being penned in like cattle. There are times when buses are loading and there is a gap in the traffic which probably about ten cars could leave.I don't know how you travel,be it bus/car/train,if you were held up for an hour I don't think you would be happy either. All it needs is three traffic controllers to let the traffic filter out.
