Messi has bought all his team mates gold iPhone as a memento.

Lionel Messi gifted Argentina team-mates and staff gold iPhones following their World Cup success and splurged £175,000 on 35 individual devices.

its from mail so I wont ruin the day by posting a link

I wonder what Mazuma will give him for a trade in?

I have an aversion to gold and they look far too blingy but a lovely gesture and footballers love a bit of bling

Better than those dreadful gold rings Pogba bought for his team-mates after they won World Cup 2018.

Very generous, horrible looking thing IMHO
For Messi, about an hour's wage for each phone. He also seems to have paid over list price. You can get them for £3k each; he paid £5k. Also, having "Patrick Group" and "IDesign Gold" as part of the engraving...?? Is it just me that's thinking there's no way he paid £175k for them?

And yes - bloody horrible.

Other than that, s'ok , I spose.

£175k to Messi is what, a weeks wages?

Not dissimilar to mere mortals on £26k spending £500 - except our disposable income is less affluent?
Messi reportedly earns £1m/week (club wages alone, not including sponsorships, and other income)

Why wouldn't he get them engraved in Spanish?

I suspect the pictures are supposed to be mock ups rather than the final product.
