Surely he will leave in the summer, has been left out all season and not had much of a sniff, even Mayo got a look in at cm before him!!

Must want to play international football for Cyprus and would need regular first team football to do so!! Shame becuase I quite like him, although he can be a bit light!!!

Indeed. I find it bizzarre that he's not had a look-in, we've been crying out for a defensive midfielder.

He clearly needs a run in the team. When he first came he didn't look good for about 5 games than started to come into his own and looked like he could be one of our best players. I can't remember if he got injured or MM dropped him but ever since then he appears to be out of favour. Shame he may be a bit light but he is decent on the ball, can tackle and looked to me like he could get forward. People keep saying he doesn't stand out in reserves, well if I was him, knowing whatever I do I'm not gonna get a chance, I wouldn't be to arsed either. Just waiting to leave I reckon, which is a real shame.

If he had stood out in the reserves he would have had opportunities, of that I have no doubt. Why would a manager contemplate picking a player with the attitude you suggest he MAY have? Not to say he does btw.

Half the side is not up to it, wouldnt do any harm to try him.

It would if he's not showing as anything special in the reserves though.

personally I always saw him as a player to help build a team. He's young, good on the ball and has played at a high level. Would love to keep him if MM would use him otherwise he needs to leave to get first team football.

But like les said - if you were not going to be played - could you really be arsed?

his contract is up at the end of the season and he can walk for nothing.

IF and it's a big if he has that sort of attitude we would be well shot of him.

I think it's just a case of his face not fitting rather than a bad attitude.

Thats bollocks - why should he not feel like that?

Funny how when i was away last year and asked who was the best layer so far nearly everyone said Nicolas.

He keeps old off the ball which you need to do at this level even if it means passing backwards and keeping it simple - humping it forward doesnt work at this level, thus Brighton are rock bottom.

So if it was you who had played well last season, expressed you desire to fight for your place and seen a lot of the midfield disappoint or get injured and you still don't get your chance after a year do you think you would still be bothered. I reckon I would be so demoralised by this point I wouldn't give a shit.

You could be right. Strange that MM had him on loan, played him and liked what he saw enough to sign him. Most of us agreed that he did look a useful player even if it was in the division below where we are. Be interesting to know MM's thoughts and reasoning on what looked a promising player suddenly not being in contention which seems to have happened after a lengthy lay off through injury.

Well said - but then again players with any attitude apart from "yes gaff" are Nazi's are they not?

too true, as my manager always says "Keep it simple, keep it short, pass and move then have a shot" sounds like a load of bollox but it works.
