When does Frutos' contract expire ???

To me he seems unhappy here now and isn't performing anything like he did last season and his attitude seems a bit poor, (Blackpool home being used as an example). I think this is all down to both Florent Chaigneau and Sebastien Carole leaving the club in the summer, so I wouldn't be suprised if he left in January.

Am I alone thinking this, or does anyone agree with me ???

(Sorry Alex Frutos)

i think i agree with you there, you would have thought he would play better in league 1, maybe Dean Cox is getting in his way a bit

He looked lively in the 8-0, so let's give him a chance.

coming in to a game where you are already 4 goals to the good you should look lively , all the work has been done !

Think he signed a two year deal in the summer. No great lose if he goes.Clearly not happy or maybe just not good enough

If it was up to you we would still be giving Mark McGhee another chance!

;)

I do actually think he may have hit rock bottom and could be on the way up but it may need injuries/suspensions for him to get a start to prove it.

To be fair, he hasn't had a huge amount of chances to prove himself either way lately (although his own stupidity in getting himself sent off against Blackpool is largely to blame for this).

As people have said, he looked lively last week (although we have to bear in mind the standard of opposition, and the scoreline when he came on), so if I were Dean Wilkins, I would be looking to give him chances in future games (probably not starting at first, due to the current side doing so well), and see how things go from there.

Frutos does seem to me like a player who could be a great asset if he can stay motivated and happy, the pace he has shown he's capable of going down the wing is the kind of thing that will set him apart from the generally slower, bulkier defenders who play in this league, and it's something that Dean Wilkins should be looking to take advantage of IMO.

If nothing else, he's one of those that you can bring on at 65 or 70 minutes as a fresh pair of legs, and he can run at defences, put balls into the box and generally make a nuisance of himself, which can make all the difference in some games.

Certainly a very useful player and I personally thought that he was one of our better players last season (despite fading - didn't they all!).

I agree with Fruity. At the moment he can be a very handy impact sub and hopefully force his way into the team. We have a lot of games coming up and further potential cup runs....

If he doesn't manage to get back into the team, perhaps a GAFAC campaign could be in order.

I think that he plays under the old adage that Liverpool did ' it is my job to put the ball in the box yours to score'. Whenever I have seen him he has put the ball into the box, it is then up to the strikers to anticipate his crosses and get on the end of them. This doesnt always happen so it makes his crosses look poor.

I would have thought that with the lack of depth our squad has, we need every credible first teamer to stay on the books. He should stay and have the chance to recover his form.

Hell yeah! I will lead as President if needs be. Unless you would rather I takeover the GMMAC campaign. I assume the workloads of running two campaigns would be too much to bear. :jester:

He's got a year left after this season, he signed it after Carole and Chaigneau left so I don't think he can be too happy, although something has clearly not been right with him. He was livelier and much more like his old self against Northwich, and if we can get him back to his best we will surely have the two best wingers in this division. :)

I think thats nonsense. He struggled for a bit of form, then he got a 3 match ban, now the side are in form. It hasn't really gone his way yet but It'll come good. In the summer he was saying how much he loved it here, I doubt anythings changed.

Frutos looked ok, when he came on against Northwich last week. Earlier on in the season he wasn't match fit, so that could of been the reason why he wasn't happy.

He's probably about as happy as Seb Carole, but Seb is no doubt picking up much more wonga not playing at Leeds
