He's spot on, and this is what Gus didn't like. You get the feeling we've backed away from this a little since we sacked Burke
No he's not. We've ditched that almost a year ago, otherwise we wouldn't have CH managing us..............would we?

So agree with him, why have a manager if you don't trust them to manage.

Does the system work on the continent? Also, you say trust a manager but exactly what experience does a novice manager have of scouting and recruiting players. First job of a manager is to coach the players to a system he wants them to play. We spunked £3m on CMS and he wasn't worth it. What happens when the manager then wants to flash the cash on other gambles. Poyet threw his toys out of the pram because he didn't like the financial restrictions. The best system would be the one where the manager states what sort of player he needs, the team then find candidates that fit the bill and are affordable and the manager then gets the final sign off.
