The Fall: Live at the Witch Trials

Wow El Pres! Completely forgot about the first Fall album - mainly cos I left it in behind some grotty flat yonks ago. Yup, a truly, madly, deeply psychotic sliver of black'n'white'spiders vinyl. Me and me bruv's punk band once supported The Fall in the early days. Flying in the face of all known band etiquette we opened with a cover of 'Frightened' off the very same album. Why not, we thought, as The Fall were famous for never playing anything live that they'd already put out on record. Mark Smith thought we were complete shite. Which to be fair we were

Christ, you lot are making me feel old. I saw Led Zep at the DOME, complete with Christmas carol encore!

Anyway, how about Bob Marley Live for a great album?

No irony Tom - loved JMC at the time - have a rather wonderful version of Birthday (Sugarcubes) featuring JMC.

I'm sure I've got some on cd somewhere but if not I will give you a shout.

Nothing wrong with Frank - had the honour of Paul Weller telling me to F off once - I was very grateful that he took time to talk to his fans.

This is a trip down memory lane. What freaks me out is that I play more old stuff than anything new I buy.

A lot of the artists that I still play have already been mentioned (The Clash, Wire, Velvets, Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley and many more).

The ones that I play the most though are Can, still my favourite live band, and Captain Beefheart's Trout Mask Replica, which never ceases to amaze me.
