Written off after 18 minutes of football is very good going.

Has there been a player who has been consigned to the dustbin quicker?

The rule is debut game time, no “I saw one minute of Damian Hilton as knew he was shit”. You will of course be correct, but it’s write offs after debut game minutes I'm after.

Adversity can be very tough on some people living in affluent coastal cities. When bad things do happen, someone needs blame and bullying.

And there he is. Young, smaller than people born in the 1950s and 60s would like, Irish vibes and signed from a lower division. Already standing there on the touchline, he is God's gift to a certain kind of people with a certain type of personality.

That coupled with a poor performance... its a field day.

Andy Kennedy.

Was very excited until he started playing football.
Mad Dog was Maria Whittacker’s one time squeeze, glamour. He did score 10 goals for us and debut was more than 18 minutes though.

I remember one game where he gave up lolloping towards a loose ball in a corner, and the Albion fans in that corner immediately berated him. He looked up, lolloped a bit further and then gave up a second time…to even more abuse. I did actually feel sorry for him.

Is this a guessing game?

I'm going for Aaron Connolly.

That’s what I thought initially, but nobody wrote Connolly off quickly. It was the complete opposite, he was the new messiah after one game!
