Good stuff. I imagine the performances will continue to improve now the squad's been bulked up by the contract-worthy trialists, and will begin settle into a familiar starting XI.

Still a little unsure though as to what position Courtney Richards and Theo Jones play? Going from that squad sheet I'd guess at central midfielders? Unless Calde played there.

Theo Jones was CB, and Richards, who was pretty bloody good by the way was playing the Bridcutt role and done it pretty well. Had a couple of good attempts on goal and passing was good bar a few mistakes like a back pass to Brezovan which actually went for a corner! Dickinson looked good, but a bit greedy and movement wasn't the best. Abukinde & McGivern also looked like good prospects at full back. Good free day out and would go again.

I only saw 75/80 minutes but from what i saw:

Dunk and Theo Jones at Centre half: Coped comfortably with whatever they had to deal with, Dunk looked very comfortable on the ball as did Jones. He looks a very useful prospect.

McGivern at right back: Looked strong and comfortable on the ball, was happy to get forward and defensively was alot stronger than their stringbean left winger. Looked very comfortable all day, will be interesting to see what he looks like when he plays against faster and stronger opposition. Very good acquisition.

Left back, black guy, not sure on his name. Very much like mcgivern in that he coped with everything he had to deal with easily, looked comfortable with the ball and got forward very well, had a chance one-on-one but put it straight at the keeper, was very impressive.

Calde: Usual quality from the spaniard in central midfield

Rodgers: Was quality on the ball, the majority went through him and its obvious he has quality in terms of technique and passing. Sometimes his final pass wasn't quite there and he seemed to moan quite alot at a few of his teammates (Dickensn twice in the first half) but scored and was our most creative midfielder.

Richards: Hugely impressive, won the ball plenty of times and was constantly breaking down their attacks. First time I have seen him play and as a defensive midfielder he looked quality and certainly one to watch.

Toby: Hard working, got in alot of dangerous positions but often looks short of ideas in the final third even at this level. Doesnt seem to be able to go past players too easily and often lost the ball when in the Bristol City area. Abit dissapointing for someone on the fringes of our first team.

Barker: Impressive workrate and looked a constant threat when playing through the middle. Not as much of an impact when played out wide for last 20 but I was impressed with him, particularly in the first half.

Dickenson: Dissapointing, got in a few good positions in the first half without producing a decent final pass, tried to do abit too much with it when he did get the ball eventually coming off with a nasty looking injury.

Overall we were alot better than them and could have won by more. We also missed a penalty in the first half

Nice to see Roland Bergkamp's name on the teamsheet and he hasn't left to work in KFC.
