Which bits don't you agree with? We were pushed back by 10 men for most of the second half, unable to string 2 passes together against a team who had looked like a County League side before that. Poor game, decent result, but should have been 4 up at half-time because they were so bad.

I agree - we looked distinctly average for most of the game. We seemed to struggle against 10 men and failed to take most of the chances we had. We must improve significantly if we are to stand any prospect of promotion this year.

We got the points. All that matters.

I have seen us play a lot better and it was a bit worrying that when they had 10 men they still managed to have a period where they outplayed us. But bar that 10 minute oddity I thought they were really piss poor and a dirty side. I bet Nicholls is still moaning about something now.

But we won. Butters looked better than before and Charlie did alright too. Up to third and at the end of a day an afternoon I enjoyed with the added comedy by Newell.

Shocking game but we won so I was in a good mood.

We'll have to do better than that in the coming weeks - we've got a few tough games coming up.

As to the players: as has been posted many times, Butters had a goodish game and I was impressed with Hinsh at right back. Oatway was MOM for me - his best game for ages.

Luton were the dirtiest team since Notts County two seasons ago.
