ALBION under-21s have bowed out of the Premier League Cup following a 4-3 defeat after extra time against Liverpool today.
The young Seagulls went 1-0 ahead thanks to Tom Dallison's opener but Jose Enrique levelled for Liverpool in the game played at Tranmere.
James Tilley struck twice, including a penalty, to open a 3-1 lead but Liverpool again fought back with Ryan McLaughlin reducing the arrears before Jerome Sinclair forced the game into extra time.
The highly-rated Sinclair grabbed the winner to end Albion's run in the competition.
