[Albion] Albion U16 Cristiano Anah called up for the Italy U-17s this month

Albion U-16 Cristiano Anah (a left-back), who made his international debut in April for the Italian U-16 side, had been called up to the Italy U-17 squad for a friendly tournament later this month called the Telki Cup.

Cristiano (back row, left) was an ever-present for the triumphant Albion U-16 squad last month which lifted the SuperCup NI trophy in Northern Ireland:-

Haven't seen confirmation of the Italy line-up yet, but it looks to me (from the stream of the game provided by Iceland) that it was Anah (no. 6) who started the match today as the left-sided centre-back.

Italy beat Iceland 4-3. They face South Korea on Thursday and hosts Hungary on Saturday.

Anah (no. 6) played the first 68 minutes of the 4-3 win over Iceland last Tuesday and then played the first half of the 2-2 draw with hosts Hungary on Saturday.

Italy won the Telki Cup - the second trophy Anah has won in a month!
