Anyone know who is on the bench? No Roberts, Jenks, Cochrane, O'Hara, Sanders, Richards, Weir, Yapi, Kazukolovas... Or will they be in the 1st team squad for pre-season?

2nd half team perhaps suggests that Roberts, Jenks, Cochrane, Sanders, Richards in the 1st team squad for pre-season following their end of season training with them.

Question for the Hawks fans on here - how good is Lucas Rodrigues? Do you think he has a future as a professional?

Easily the Hawks best striker and won player of the season for that league (Isthiman South I think it is). Could see him being full time with National League club. He’s 23 I think so presumably would have been spotted by now if he was due to be signed to the big time.

22 - born April 1 1998.

Jamie Vardy was 23 when he joined FC Halifax Town in the Northern Premier League, so it can happen (not that I'm suggesting LR is another Jamie Vardy).

They were training with the first team up to the end of the PL season, so will probably only have come back from their break yesterday.

Ditto Molumby, Gyokeres and Ostigard?

Ditto Băluță?

After his performances for Millwall, Molumby may be in with a shout for the first team squad - but the others? I may be wrong, and happy to stand corrected, but it appears very much that a loan abroad doesn't usually come with a return ticket; more a case of giving the player the chance of a pro career elsewhere, plus a few quid towards the cost of the academy. George Cox for example.

From what I've heard Ostigard was great last season, it's what's ahead of him that is the problem. Baluta is a bit of an enigma. Might get pre-season to prove he can contribute at DM? Some players will have to leave.

Don't know about great, but he seems at least to have done alright. What's next, as you say, is the problem. Even if Dunk goes to Chelsea and Duffy to Celtic, he'd still only be about 6th. in the pecking order of CBs at Brighton. Loan to a decent Championship side might give him a shout - or more likely make his eventual departure more lucrative. Same for Baluta.
They've both got a long road ahead of them if ever they're ever going to break into our team - a career abroad looms for both (IMHO).
