Here we are some two hours away from a new manager and no-one knows who it is apart from the club. No journalist or media organsaition has been able to crack this one. Different people on the shortlists... it's been a different man every day recently. Cotterill, Dowie, Tigana, McGhee, Rosenior, and now Murdock. New Labour - you've nothing on the Albion! Fair playto the club (unless it's Gray!). We have easily predicted, or been tipped off about the last 4 or 5 managers, but know one really has a clue about this one. Obviously when announced it will all make sense looking back etc etc, the 'I've said that since the beggining' posts will take over the board.

Makes for great tension now though doesn't it? That decision will determine my mood for the next couple of days, and longer on a lower contentment or disappointment level. This is part of what football is all about. Enjoy it.

I've been saying this for months. It's one thing keeping us guessing, but I get the distinct impression that even the candidates themselves are being mucked about. Coppell wasn't well treated when Hinsh got the job, which makes it all the more amazing he did eventually accept and do such a good job.

I sense the hand of Mandy at work at the Albion. His dream job, nice little pad in Kemp Town...

Seeing the way Coppout dicked us around-maybe it wasn't him being treated badly by the club at all? Possibility.....

Dick Knight has never had a manager leave and say anything bad about the way they were treated (including Coppout)-the opposite in fact so I'll keep faith in the way DK does things. He seems to have a reasonable idea of what he's doing.
