* Maksimenko has been named by new national coach Marian Pahars, his former boss at Skonto Riga, for a friendly in Estonia on Wednesday night.
* Liam Bridcutt and Gordon Greer are in the Scotland squad for the game against England at Wembley the same evening and Adam El-Abd is in the Egyptian party for a friendly at home to Uganda.
* Maksimenko could be in contention for his first start for injury-hit Albion against Derby County at The Amex on Saturday.
* The 22-year-old made his debut for Albion's ten men as a second half substitute in Tuesday's Capital One Cup defeat by Newport County.
