Boss Chris Hughton admits Albion must find a cure for their goalscoring travel sickness.
Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Bolton was the fourth blank sheet away from home in succession for the Seagulls.
They have also lost 1-0 at Blackpool and drawn 0-0 at Cardiff and Sheffield Wednesday since a 1-0 win at Charlton.
"We have tended to have really good moments in the game where we break and catch teams on the counter-attack, as we did again, but it’s showing that real quality at the end of it.
"It has been a problem for us. We’ve worked as hard as we can to try to solve it."
Teenager Zach Clough cleverly slotted Bolton’s second half winner, upstaging Albion’s playmaker Joao Teixeira.
Liverpool loan signing Teixeira revealed in Saturday’s Argus he is keen to return to the Amex if he cannot make a first team impact at Anfield.
Hughton said: "It most certainly is one we have to continue to monitor. He is a gifted player. Even against Bolton you could see what Joao is.
"Sometimes he can lose possession in areas but he is one that is capable of creating something in those positions, so it’s one we will continue to monitor right through the season."
