Its all good besides this poor week. The remaining fixtures look promising and my gut feeling says we finish 7th.

We've looked a hundred times better this week than during our dire row of results in the winter and I feel confident we'll bounce back.

The whole team including the manager and coaches need to take a long hard look at the last three games. No need to watch anything in slow motion as you couldn’t get any slower. There in lies the problem. Far too slow from keeper especially Dunk and then the forwards.

My mojo 5

An opportunity to get back on track next week with a game against Leicester and I could easily be back at 8/9. However fail to win that then I’m really struggling to see any positives for the rest of the season. It’s an erratic season of ups and downs.

We’ve utterly failed in the most important week of our season. Trip to Wembley lost, 6 pointer against Villa lost and then humiliation at Castle Greyskull.
Webster and Georgi probably out for the season and various players not stepping up. If Palace win their game in hand, they are a single point behind. Awful.

I realise that it’s still possible that we’ll win all our remaining games and finish in the top six but equally, the slump could continue on and on; it’s that sort of season.

So, I’m taking some time out from fandom until the 26th April and the return of Potter.

Personally I fear that Palace's name is on the FA Cup and we'll need snookers to get into Europe. But if we finish tenth - the third-best position in our history - with a rookie head coach and with the Premier League's worst injury list, then it's been okay. And next season, if we can keep everyone fit (although didn't we say that this time last year?), we should be a real force. Especially if we can find a defender with real pace that Citeh don't gazump us on.

10. Recently moved back to Sussex after 35 years, season ticket secured for next year, reconnecting with old friends. Going regularly with my family. And a realistic chance of making Europe again at the business end of the season so some big games still to come. Yes it’s been a tough week but if it was always good it wouldn’t be as good when it’s good. Or something 🤪

We will finish in one of the highest positions in the club's entire history, European qualification is still within reach, we have a young dynamic squad of players with more en route in the summer.

And all this with a young manager, still learning both his trade and the League and a squad decimated with injuries for most of the season.
That’s not a mitigating factor . It was a choice

Well at the moment and after a week in Tenerife I can honestly say I have zero interest in football

I will start thinking about it again on Saturday

I’m trying my best to remain positive despite what has been a really challenging 7 days.

The Forest defeat was tough to take and personally off the back of that I didn’t expect us to get anything from Villa or Palace.

But…… 4 wins and a draw from our final 7 games should guarantee European football next season and that in itself would be a massive achievement and a really positive season overall.

Injuries have absolutely killed us this season but this season was always going to be a season of transition, a new manager and new recruits, many of which are tasting Premier League football for the first time.

Fab would have learnt a lot and I think it’s fairly obvious to us all that the defence needs a rebuild in the summer and the club will be aware of that and I trust in them to address that quite quickly.

The likes of Gruda, Baleba, Hinshelwood, Ayari and Minteh will all benefit from their first full seasons being heavily involved and push on next season and the likes of Yalcouye, Tzimas and Osman will add further depth to the squad. A fit Kadioglu and maybe a rejuvenated Enciso are all things to be positive about.

Also worth noting that the players will get a full summer off and that without doubt has been a factor in some of the fatigue and injury issues we’ve had.

As for the remainder of the season, if you’d said at the start of the season that we’d be 8th going into the final 7 games, 4 points off the Europa League spot, I would have snapped your hand off.

Leicester, West Ham, Wolves and Brentford are games we SHOULD be winning, that leaves us needing a point from Spurs, Liverpool or Newcastle.

Certainly glass half full from me for the remainder of this season and really excited about next.

Keep the faith.

We've still got 21 points to play for we're right in the thick of what's going to be a absolute scrap to get a European spot, what's not to like about that,if the players aren't up for it then they'll never be.
A solid 7 for me,the game yesterday hasn't changed my mind that we'll squeak in by the skin of our teeth.

I've gone down to 2 now.

We seem to be a "streak" team this season . Undefeated in 7 , then Without a win in 8 , then undefeated in 7 now without a win in 4. So if trends are anything to go by a winless April looks likely .
