Having had a sneak preview of the programme for tomorrow's BHAFC Legends XI v Les Rogers XI charity game in aid of St Barnabas House Hospice at Woodside Road, Worthing, the line-ups look quite tasty :smokin::

BHA Legends XI (manager Paul Rogers): Gus Poyet, Mauricio Tarrico, Charlie Oatway, Paul Watson, Paul Rogers, Zigor Aranalde, Micky Adams, Darren Freeman, Guy Butters, Richard Carpenter, John Keeley, Stuart Christie, Jacob Naish

Les Rogers XI (manager Martin Hinshelwood) includes: Paul Rogers (he'll be busy - can he play for both sides?!), Michael Standing, Dean Wilkins, Tommy Fraser, Paul Hinshelwood, Wes Fogden, Richard Martin, John Byrne, Chris Breach, Gary Elphick

Kick off is 1.30pm, entry is £5 and there's also a raffle (tickets £1) with lots of good prizes including a signed Albion shirt, £100 meal voucher, £120 Ray Ban sunglasses, and on the football side: an Everton signed pennant, a Rangers FC gift pack (tie, pen, signed photo of a player, doesn't say who), Liverpool team photo, Rio Ferdinand signed photo (!), and rather less excitingly a Charlton team sheet signed by the squad :lolol:

For more about Les Rogers and the game go here.

Anyhow, come on down

* chance for two people to watch an Albion training session, then have lunch with the players and also includes 2 tickets for one of our remaining home games
* 2 x tickets for any Man City home game this season or next
* 2 x tickets for any Arsenal home game during the 2011/12 season
* new Samsung laptop
* signed shirts from Ryan Giggs, Gareth Barry, Jack Wilshere, Leyton Orient and Millwall
* Brighton Raceday event of your choice with meal and wine for 2

All the more reason to come along ...

Would love to go but plans have been made for me and I'm not happy about it! Will be funny to to see Zigor Aranalde in a legends XI, will the crowd know who he is?

The Paul Rogers in the select 11 is Les Rogers son, not Dodge.

Please try and get down if you can, a great cause for a true Seagull, sadly no longer with us.

Gotta be worth a fiver for such a great cause just to see Gus play, let alone all the others giving up their time.

I've a day off, so I shall be there.

Darn it, that looks BLOODY good in potential, should be enormous fffffffffun, and I'd love to see that but can't :(

I hope people realize the privilege of seeing this - and those prizes ain't too shabby either!

Why can't you go? Surely one of the staff could take you. Or is it pin down?

Well, it's 1-1 so far. Clinical finish from Darren Freeman for the BHA XI and a bullet header by Chris Breach for the LR XI. Gus has already had words with Tommy Fraser and sent two pile rivers wide and high.
Tanno busy on the left, couple of crunching tackles from Oatway and Micky's even won a header!
Crowd looks a good few hundred.

Legends pen - Gus not interested so Micky shows him how it's done, high into top left corner. 2-1. Then equaliser by Wayne Potbury - 2-2.

It finished 5-2 to the Albion XI, Freeman with 2, Micky with 1, Tano with 1 and someone else (not sure who) with one, and was a thoroughly good afternoon's entertainment.

Gus played the whole 90 minutes and seemed to enjoy himself, even if he did get a little annoyed after having his heels clipped early on by Tommy Fraser and shouted "well if you want to play serious, I'll play f***ing serious too".

All in all, a great afternoon and most importantly raised a decent sum for a good cause.
