@El Presidente thanks for the info.
Am I right in thinking that the amortisation is what we owe as part of player purchase? Amounts due on certain dates for those purchases?

And on a purely fan biased perspective, Palace owe £108 million??

How on earth did Luton, with that retained profit from last season, plus parachute payments, contrive to perform so badly this season...?

How on earth are Bournemouth surviving on those figures ...?
And that was last season's money. Look at their achievement now.

Spurs and ManUre - weapons-grade under-achievement. What utter throbbers.

I always look for the amortisation.

Pretty happy with that.

Brighton. NOT KEMPTOWN!
£ 185,000 weekly wage? - Obscene. I hardly earned that in total after 44 years of working my nuts off. Mind you, I did get petrol money!

If we cut out all the stupid mistakes mixed with some miss management which has led to points dropped we should be top six, would you not agree?

I'm not dead, which is good,
but just when I think I'm winning,
When I've broken every door
The ghosts of my life blow wilder than before
Just when I thought I could not be stopped
When my chance came to be king
The ghosts of my life blew wilder than the wind

Amortisation is the cost of transfer fees (both paid and that not yet paid across), written off in the year to the profit and loss account, done on a straight line basis to nil over the length of player contracts.

One club, it might’ve been Derby under FFP dodging Mel Morris?, used another method to give a lower annual charge.
