"My life's in pieces"
Update on Martin Brittain's progress for Hull:

City will be likely to use the same pool of 22 players that faced Winterton Rangers on Wednesday in tonight's friendly at North Ferriby.

That should mean another opportunity for on-trial pair Martin Brittain from Newcastle and Lloyd Dyer of West Brom to impress.

Both have been told they have no futures at their respective clubs, although City's interest in the pair is thought to be tentative.

Brittain, 22, in particular impressed against Winterton playing in a wide-right role but having already been on trial with Brighton, he is looking for a quick answer.

"Both will possibly play again tonight," said Phil Parkinson.

"You saw in the second half what Martin is all about and he's got that ability to beat a player in a tight situation - not many in the squad had that on Wednesday.

"We will be monitoring his progress very closely and make a decision soon."

Well, he was impressive against Worthing... I only have that to go on but, given Carole's defection, I would like to see him come here...

Agreed he was very impressive against Worthing. He looked like he had a bit of pace and could actually cross the ball which is something Carole struggled to do for all his tricks and skills. Brittain is by all accounts a tasty set piece merchant which is something we badly need. One of the main reasons we struggle for goals is that we are not making the most of set pieces. At League 1 level its even more important I reckon.
