Just as long as we're not trying to get Alan Brazil out of retirement.

Much how Mcghee got slated for signing El Turi too soon last year maybe he should of acted a bit quicker this time? Thats is if Knight is letting him make any signings himself this summer and not doing them!

Or maybe because of El Turi he wnats to spend more time looking at a player.

In real life or DVD?

Dont blame him for that at all.

Maybe he could have started looking at him towards the end of the season tho?

But then he wasn't available last year was he. We didn't release players until after the season had ended so I'm sure Newcastle didn't either.

If we are that keen on a player then we should strike while the iron is hot, do the deal and sign them, history shows that we often miss out. I won't go into the usual tirades about stadia, poor training facilities, blah, blah, blah....people should just want to play for us.

I agree we should act quick. But why should people want to play for us? We are hardly setting the world alight.

True at the moment, we have to sell them the whole package (sounds like an advertising strap-line) come to the Albion the team on the up and the fantastic city by the sea (also most definitely one of the up and coming places to live in the whole of Britain, if not the World).

Again I agree but you forget footballers have short careers, why come here when you could go to Coventry? Less to live up there, be paid more and play in front of more fans. It really is a no brainer if you have no ties with the club. Its like a choice between Rotherham or Hull.

If you look at this from Brittain's point of view, he is a free agent, he has a number of clubs interested in him, therefore, he can take the gamble of trying a few out before deciding which one is right for him.

Therefore, all the hard sell, wack him on a contract ASAP is not going to work because Brittain himself at this moment has free movement. He can choose, the club are not in a position to dictate.

He played for Hull last night in a friendly. There maybe a chance though - 'cos they can't spell his name right!!!!

He only set up a goal. I dont think that means they will defo sign him! Thats typical McGhee thinking there.
