I will sell mine if I buy them myself as every body I have asked is fed up with the 'begging bowl' coming out yet once again and believe that the club should get its house in order some way or another.

Welcome back misery.

My brother in law is disabled and usually has no problem selling raffle tickets as people take pity on him and buy whatever he has to sell but on this occasion the general view is exactly as I posted it people are gfedup with the begging bowl coming out yet once again this is not a personal wish but fact.

I've sold my 25 (I bought them myself)

I'm gonna do the same.
£25 donation, but in with a chance of winning something.

No different to buying a ticket and programme on match day [except got a greater chance of winning something in the raffle at the moment]

FFS. The reason for the "begging bowl" as you well know is because we are in the shit financially. So we can either sit on our big fat hairy arses and watch our beloved club die, or we can take the begging bowl round and try and put something back into the club instead of having a take, take, take attitude.
Although personally, I'm only doing it for the chance of winning the building supplies. :)

Surprisingly they have been sent to me in Crawley, don't think I am going to sell many here.

Why not? You don't have to find seagulls fans to be able to sell them.

I've sold most of mine to people at work up here in Leeds. None of them could really give two hoots about the Albion but most people I've asked have bought one all the same. There are some pretty decent prizes on offer - just charm people into buying one, you'll soon get rid and if there are a few left over you could buy them yourself.

I'm sure the building supplies would come in handy to your UKIP mates who could use it to start building that wall round the UK.

Further to my earlier post my brother in law has sold 35 tickets but the club say that they cann ot accept the cash it must be paid by cheque. He doesnt have a bank account because of his disability but that hasnt stopped him selling the tickets for them obviously I will write out the cheque on my account for him but that doesnt alter the fact that the club is all takeand expect us fans to do everything for them.

I don't think the disabled are banned from having cheque books. Perhaps you could sort out an account for him.

Precisely - I've sold a load to people at work including a gay friend who doesn't give a shit about Brighton or football either. I did sell them to him along the lines of "but if you did follow a football team it would DEFINATELY be the the Albion....." He coughed up and I've offered to buy the signed shirt back off him if he wins!

The other day I had a latter through the post from the club - it contained a number of raffle tickets to sell. I haven't seen anything else about these on NSC (sorry if i missed it!).

The letter talked about how the Falmer campaign had dragged on, and that the delays meant extra costs - therefore this new idea...

Has anyone else had any tickets, and how many do you think you are going to sell?

An example of one of the tickets...

I have not received any myself. However, my young son has. Yet another cock-up from the club's clowns I guess. :censored:

Oh dear, been talking to Mr Fantasy again, have we? :nono:

That statement (apart from whether or why your friend doesn't have a bank account) is demonstrably bollocks. I have just been in the club offices, and they are accepting cash. It can be dangerous to post cash, but they are accepting it. FACT.

FFS, if you are going to moan, then moan about something worthwhile.

I took my 25 in to the office today and sold all but 2 without any effort. I shall take the wife's 25 in tomorrow as there was still enough interest to suggest I could get rid of those as well.

I work less than a mile from Ashton Gate and sold most to Bristol City fans. They're not such a bad bunch after all!!

When you know the facts you can spout but until then shut up.

He is registered mentally handicapped and has supported BHA for some 40 years.

I don't think registered mentally handicapped people are actually disallowed from owning a chequebook either... the UK isn't nazi germany...

They are when they can neither read nor write.

The letter that acompanied the tickets quite catergorically stated do not send cash. Send either a cheque or use a credit card.

It also said do not return any unsold tickets. Whoever thought that up excelled themselves. It means that any unscrupulous persons may sell the tickets and 'bin' the money. The club will think that have not been sold, the purchasers will think that their tickets went in the draw but they didnt win. The person who sold them is £25 better off. Great security.

And I was supposed to know that was I? It seems like you will say anything to run down this club.
