boylesports.com best price i could find to win the league.

not suggesting for one minute that is a good bet but take the each way option @1/5 odds finish 1,2 or 3 and you get a nice 25/1 to finish 3rd ie to get in the play offs and win it.

considering if you wait until dreamtime arrives and we do make the play offs the best you can hope for will be maybe 3/1 to win them depending on form this is not a bad option if you like the odd footy bet now and then.

just saying if you like a couple of quid on the albion every now and then for fun jump in now

Brighton at 150 to win the league on betfair, less the five percent gets you to about 142-1.

But the e/w bet you suggest looks excellent value... betair can't match that!

Or can it?

Maybe better than the top 3 finish bet above is Brighton at 15.5 to get promoted.

By the way Palace available at a 1000 to win the league.

just a couple of corrections, it wont be 25/1 yer money as you'd also lose the win part of the each way bet so a tenner e/w (£20) would return £260 so that's 12/1 if we finish secord or third, on that point an E/W bet isn't triggered by winning the play offs, the team finishing third in the table is the money shot, regardless of their performance in the play offs

Point taken regarding having to finish 3rd to claim a win.

I'm going to have to question the maths! Although I agree with the final figure. :D Not sure where 12/1 comes into the equation!!

125/1 at 1/5 the odds 1,2,3 = 125/5 for 2nd, 3rd. = 25/1 = 250/10 = £260 returned (as you say) overall £240 profit!

And THAT is why I don't bet  - what the hell is that all meant to mean ???

What you have forgotten is to place the each way bet you also placed 10 on the win. Assuming we don't win the league, you have bet 20 quid to win 240, hence 12-1 odds

No chance. Put your pennies away. Most teams that win this league achieve around the 90pt mark

We have 13 games max 39pts plus 53pts = 92pts

We still have to play

Cardiff
Blackpool
Reading
Boro
Brum
Hammers

Forget it.

You are getting £240 profit for a stake of £20 = 12/1

Yes I see what you both and Dr. Not.... mean now in the cold light of day!

But I guess both methods could be called correct as they arrive at the same payout!! :D

I don't think anybody was suggesting we will win the title!! More emphasis is on the 'attractive' place odds. :)

Are you sure it's not just finishing 3rd, prior to playoffs? Because if you're right, 25/1 to get promoted is amazing odds, I would definitely have some of that.

EDIT - I see this was down to your drinking
