KEMY Agustien believes his Albion career is ready to take off after triple training sessions to get himself fit.
The Dutch midfielder was back in the side for the 0-0 draw against Huddersfield at The Amex.
It was Agustien’s first start since the end of August and only his sixth in total since signing from Swansea in the summer following problems with calf injuries.
Agustien told The Argus: “We talked about it with the manager and the staff and I started a programme for myself, so I was training three times each day.
“At the time I wasn't happy but it has helped me quite a lot and now I feel good and ready to go. I know I came here not fit enough and I know I needed to work on that.
“Of course, you are disappointed when you get the facts in front of you, but you have to deal with it, get your head down and just go with it.’”Agustien was substituted midway through the second half as Huddersfield became the first side to prevent Albion from scoring at The Amex since last season's defeat in the play-offs by Crystal Palace.
Agustien said: “I was waiting for this chance. I think I did quite well. I'm not really pleased, because I think I could have done something better, but at the end of the day it was my first game after a long time and we did very well. The only disappointment was not getting the three points.”
Albion head into the Boxing Day visit to Charlton (12.30) still eighth and still two points outside the play-off zone.
