Poor old treatment bloke took a right tumble. Serves him right I suppose for coming on the pitch to do his job.

And now Bikey misses final :p

What a plonker !

Really hoping Egypt can wave bye bye to Cote D'Ivoire prima donnas tonight.

Me and my Nigerian faher-in-law are rooting for Egypt for the cup again as they keep it local

Egypt looking the better team 1st half. Well organised and certainly know how to keep possession......strung together about 30 passes at one point !

And Cote D'Ivoire keeper off after half hour. Sub can't even make the 1st team of the 2nd div German club he's at.

Favourites could of met their match again ;)

Some quality goals, some shocking defending (from Toure of all players!) Anyone see that 40 yard free kick from Geremi earlier too. Good games today

The Egyptians were a disgrace in the last 20 minutes, everytime they got a free kick their player went down writhing in agony, but whats even worse is they did a really bad job of it. Eveytime they sort of waited around for a bit, had a look around, and then ooooh arrrghhh my leg/face/whatever!

Fantastic result ! :clap2:

Hope this sends out a message to African F.A's that you don't need to get in foreign coaches to get results. Egyptian team being over-whelmingly home based is obviously an advantage.

In Nigeria, the youth teams ( U17's, 19's ) seem to do well, and I bet it's no coincidence that the majority of these teams are made up of 'home players'. Most Nigerians I know often complain that European based players don't care about playing for Nigeria.

Some great displays from the fans. The Egyptians are bloody timewasters.

Totally agree about the timewasting :(

Shame to see as I still think Egypt by far the better team tonight, and their keeper was solid.

Given that Drogba and Keita managed to fling themselves to the ground acrobatically every time an Egyptian player came within five yards of them, I can't say I blame Egypt.

Are you referring to Mido's antics in the 2006 tournament by any chance ?

Egyptian coach dealt with that little hissy fit a treat though, dropping Mido for the final ( if memory serves me correctly ? )

Notice that Egypt still have the same EGYPTIAN coach that they won 2006 with too  .......There's a lesson there for the others, surely ?

That shot from Geremi a real screamer, and unlucky to hit the bar/post

The ball they're using moves in the air like nobody's business. I think that, along with some dodgy keepers and the fact that everyone seems prepared to have a dig, has made for some fantastic goals. :yahoo:

Drogba was diving all over the place!

It makes me laugh when drogba and co get up set with cheating and time wasting when they do it most weeks
