3rd place goes to Eggman with Lord Bracknell jogging in 4th!

Jay-Jay Okocha scored his fourth goal of the tournament as Nigeria beat Mali 2-1 to secure third place in the African Nations Cup.

In a repeat of the 2002 bronze-medal clash, Nigeria once again came out on top as striker Osaze Odemwengie added to the Bolton wizard's goal, while Janvier Abouta replied for Mali.

Okocha gave Nigeria the lead in the 16th minute with a curling free-kick which deflected off Mali captain Mahamadou Diarra and wrong-footed goalkeeper Mahamadou Sidibe.

All of Okocha's four strikes in this tournament have been either free-kicks or penalties. Okocha pulls level with Freddie Kanoute and Cameroon's Patrick Mboma as the event's top scorer.

In a dominant first-half showing, Nigeria almost doubled their lead when Odemwengie fired wide when well placed.

Tottenham striker Kanoute failed to make an impact and was replaced early in the second half.

In the 47th minute, Odemwengie notched his third goal of the campaign when he headed a left-wing cross from Okocha into the bottom right corner.

John Utaka almost added a third for Nigeria, while Djibril Sidibe's free-kick offered hope for Mali, before Abouta pulled a goal back in the 70th minute with a powerful angled strike.
