You're getting two tournaments for the price of one here as I've decided to do the Confederations Cup as well which is the African version of the Europa League. Like Europe losing teams from Round Two in the Champions League drop into the Third Round of the Confederations Cup. Therefore everybody will get two teams one in each tournament.

There are only 52 teams in the Confederations Cup so the last three people to enter in the Champions League don't have team in the former. I imposed one rule for the drawof the Confederations Cup and that was that nobody could have a team from the same country in each competition.

Lastly dates:

Preliminary Round: 1st Leg = 28-30 January; 2nd leg = 11-13 February
First Round: 1st leg = 18-20 March; 2nd leg = 1-3 April
Second Round: 1st leg = 22-24 April; 2nd leg = 6-8 May
Third Round: 1st Leg = 27-29 May; 2nd leg = 10-12 June (Confederation Cup only)
Group Stage: Match 1 = 15-17 July; Match 2 = 19-31 July; Match 3 = 12-14 August; Match 4 = 26-28 August; Match 5 = 9-11 September; Match 6 = 16-18 September
Semi-Final: 1st leg = 30 Sept - 2 October; 2nd leg = 14-16 October
Final; 1st leg = 4-6 November; 2nd leg = 11-13 November

TP Mazembe are the Champions League holders; FUS Rabat are the holders of the Confederation Cup

AS ADEMA Analamanga is a Malagasy football club based in Ivato, Madagascar near Antananarivo. They have won the THB Champions League championship on two occasions, in 2002 and 2006. In 2002 they also advanced to the quarterfinals of the CAF Cup before losing to Al-Masry of Egypt.

AS ADEMA won a THB Champions League match against SOE Antananarivo by the amazing score of 149-0 on October 31, 2002. SOE scored 149 own goals in protest of a refereeing decision.

They play in green at the 22,000 Mahamasina Stadium

Liga Muçulmana, short name LDMM, is a Mozambican football (soccer) club based in Maputo that plays in the top division of Mozambican football, Moçambola, and they have won the 1st league title in 2010. The Club was founded on 8 November 1990.

Liga is one of the richest clubs in Mozambique.

They play in yellow at the 5,000 capacity Estádio Da Liga Muçulmana.

C'mon LDMM and AS Adema!

Happy with that.

TP Mazembe have won the last two African Champions Leagues! Come on you Ravens! They also used to be known as FC Englebert which is indescribably flair.

On the other hand the only information I can find on Etincelles is this picture:
Etincelles.jpg

Which seems to indicate that we have had a man sent off already! These African refs are well dodgy :nono: :dunce:

Guaranteed victory in both competitions methinks:

St George SA

The club was formed by Greeks when Fascist Italy invaded Ethiopia in 1935. Founded by Ayele Atnash and George Dukas, the club quickly became the symbol of Ethiopian nationalism and a representation of the country's quest for freedom.

After the Italians were defeated, St. George briefly turned into a pictogram of identity for many Ethiopians. As there weren't other Ethiopian clubs, it had been playing against foreign clubs.

In 1947, the country's national league kicked off with three teams; St. George, Mechale and Ke'ay Bahir. The club remained within the league for twenty-five years before the Derg reorganized the football leagues, and forced all existing clubs to shut down.

Four years later, in 1976 though, it was back with a name change. St. George was named Addis Abeba brewery. The tag stayed for nineteen years.

Since 1999, fee-paying supporters have owned St. George. In November 2007, the club had finished raising funds and would begin construction of a new stadium. Budgeted at 80 million Birr, 80% of the cost would be covered by Sheik Mohammed Al Amoudi with the balance to be contributed by the club’s supporters.

Think I may have mother of all minnows here, the African equivalent of a Champions League qualifier from the Faroes in Elan Club from the Comoros Islands - their national side is ranked 186th in the World, which is the lowest-ranked African nation of those represented in this competition!
