The Creation of AFC Lizard.



Cause

A meeting of various members of Team MAD took place at the Woolpack public house, Burgess Hill, on a Sunday afternoon in late November 2003.

At this meeting it was decided that due to the poor run of results by Team MAD and the fact that they were the laughing stock of the 6-a-side league, many members would breakaway from Team MAD and form their own team.

At this meeting it was voted that the new team should be called AFC Lizard.

As Safeway already mentioned in another thread, afc Lizard is not Team Mad. You've just said it yourself, 'new faces'.

It's the best of Team Mad, plus a whole host of new characters. Team Mad was shit. afc Lizard is now a serious contender for the championship.



And as for saying something earlier, this is the first time the six-a-side has been mentioned since the season finished.



I know you're upset, I would be too if I got dropped, but it's really nothing personal, as you well know.

I played for team mad. But it wasn't very mad, just full of lizards so AFC lizard was suggested, and I said I'd rather die than see Coxy's trophy in the hands of fatboy, so I enrolled - thought I was helping.
