If that's the area you want, you'd be better off either at Horsted Place (part of the ESN but not on the main complex) or Buxted Park on the other side of Uckfield.

Family are in Crawley, but wanted a couple of nights off!

What about Buxted Park hotel, got married there and its a great place, plenty of gardens etc to wander around as well. worth a quick look if nothing else

Looks very, very nice, costs a bit more than I hoped to spend though!
