Well if HMRC catch anyone doing a Rangers they'll be in a hell of a lot of trouble, but they've got the assets to sort out the bill.

Didn't some of the P/L clubs, I think Arsenal was one, settle with HMRC over the same thing they're going after Rangers for ie, using oversea payments for their players to avoid tax. They settle to avoid a court fight so getting to pay a lower amount, Rangers can't because they've not got the money.
