Had a message from Jo (Piglets) today, she spent all day Saturday in the 1901 kitchens and thinks she has identified what is wrong with the way the pies are being stored and heated there. I have also told her there are some other questions asked, such as the fillings, will feedback what she says. Se can also be contacted at Facebook, PigletsPantryHQ
Seems a little convoluted when all she has to do is go to the ESL, to find out how it's done.

I've not had a problem there for months, stretching well back into last season.

First time that I have had a pie that was cooked to perfection.... Nice and moist and piping hot.

Lindley's are the caterers at ...

Barnsley, Bradford City, Bristol City, Bury, Celtic, Colchester United, Crystal Palace, Derby County, Dundee, Dundee United, Gillingham, Hibernian, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Livingston, Manchester City, Millwall, Northampton Town, Notts County, Oxford United, Peterborough United, Portsmouth, Preston North End, Sheffield Wednesday, Sunderland, Swindon Town, Tottenham Hotspur, Watford, West Bromwich Albion and York City.

Not sure where you got that list, but Delaware north are the caterers at Derby - the corporate stuff is pretty good, they serve about 1,500 people a day - the standard stuff a bit more basic, as I suspect it will be for you guys also...

I don't think she honestly believed your email - until she went in and saw the chaos for herself.

There were issues with queues last season - but certainly pre and post match ESL is fine. I had assumed it was because fewer people were purchasing.

And I have never had a problem with the pies.

I wouldn't know whether sales are up down or consistent, but it certainly feel like my time be served is definitely quicker.

There also seem to be plenty of regular staff too, always a bonus.

I think the catering should have been split into two companys that specialise in corporate catering and a company that does fast food. Then the two groups of management could try to make sure that the service is what we require.:drink::drink::drink::drink:

Gonna have to get food in Brighton or get a pie at the ground now.

Normally I'd get a double cheese burger at the burger van outside the station then I'd get a hot dog at half time, now I can't do either!

Last time i didn't manage to get a Chilli pie until ten mins before close in the north stand, allegedly it was the last one.
This time I was very pleased to be able to get a Chilli pie straight away when i got into ESU. At one point they thought they'd not got any, then someone behind them shouted that they need to label the boxes carefully and that "it's not difficult" then someone else got one right out if the oven for me, win!

The missus's cheese burger was awesome! While usually quite good anyway but not hot enough, it was still merely warm but it had a ciabatta bun and emmental cheese!

The queues are always heavy just before the game and at half time in ESU but they weren't any worse, possible slightly better but not enough to really write home about, unless this counts :-/

It seems that Azure only won awards based on being forced to serve piglets pantry pies, Harveys and the away team local brew. I'm sure if they had their way it would have been insultingly bad, as bad as the staff training if that's conceivable.

So really the club should have won it. Definitely better.

My e-cash still is not on my f***ing card.
I put e-cash on my card for the first time on Saturday (when I tried at the start of the season the card was in someone else's name, and I was told to go into the shop), and when I went to pay it said it was empty. On the third time of asking, it showed the correct balance. I guess it's temperamental.

I've put on the reader about twenty times, sometimes for more than a minute - still nish.

Are you trying to pay with your season ticket card, or your Brighton Belles membership card?

According to @TSLR on twitter, Azure are consulting their lawyers.

Interesting. Presumably the club had already been over the contract with a fine tooth comb (you'd assume) before BINNING them. I gather from previous posts that they were given the opportunity to improve the service, which by most accounts they patently failed to do.

If Azure take legal action against the club, perhaps us fans will be asked to TESTIFY. Might have to dig the old suit out.

"Did you forget to order the balti pies ?"
"You want answers ?"
"I want the TRUTH"
"YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH. Son we live in a world that has kiosks. And those kiosks have to be manned by staff with hats. Who's gonna do it ? You ? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Piglets Pantry and you curse Azure Catering. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That the massive queues on the concourses, whilst tragic, probably saved pies. And my existance, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves pies. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at half time, you WANT me in that kiosk. You NEED me in that kiosk.
"We use words like pardon, hang on, we've run out. We use these words as a backbone to a life spent not serving something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who queues twenty minutes for a pie and pint, and then questions the manner in which I fail to provide it. I'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you put on a hat and do a shift. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to".
"Did you forget to order the balti pies ?"
"I did the job I was put in to do"
"Did you forget to order the balti pies ?"
"YOU'RE GODDAM RIGHT I DID !"

Thats what'll happen. Right there.

I have never had a single problem in the North either getting a pie, a pint or anything else for that matter.

If Piglets and Harveys do go then I feel this will end up as a change for the worse.
