Utter nonsense. if anything I would say he is massively UNDERRATED over here by idiots who don't know anything about him.

Guessing you missed his goal of the tournament at the Euros?

Also:

2001–2004
Ajax

74 games
35 goals

2004–2006
Juventus

70 games
23 goals

2006–2009
Internazionale

88 games
57 goals

2009–2011
Barcelona

29 games
16 goals

2010–2011
Milan (loan)

29 games
14 goals

2011–
Milan

32 games
28 goals

National team

Sweden U21
7 games
6 goals

Sweden
80 games
33 goals

So, a record generally of OVER a goal every two games, at the highest levels of football. He is unquestionably World Class.

This with bells on

A lot of people in England seem to know very little about the Spanish and Italian leagues. Ibrahimovic is a PHENOMENAL player, regardless of whether he could "do it against Stoke" or any of that bollocks.

There's probably a French TV pundit saying something similar to what Andy Gray said right now.

"C'est un bon joueur mais est-ce qu'il peut le faire une soirée pluvieuse à Sochaux?"

It's not immaterial, as it helps to build a case. Someone who has won many many major trophies is more likely to be world class than someone who hasn't. If someone said Messi was SH*T, you could quite easily use his goalscoring "stats" as an example of him not being sh*t. Of course Messi is partly judged on his honours, one BIG argument from people is that he will NEVER be as good as Maradona until he wins Argentina a World Cup. I don't actually agree with that specific point, but it is certainly a logical one to make in an argument, and reasonable enough evidence to use.

Nope, I was making a general statement about thickets who don't rate the likes of Ibrahimovic because he "couldn't do it on a wet Wednesday in Stoke", which is obviously utter bollocks.

in your view yes, in mine no... as it would preculde far too many players from begin considered. Did Maradona win 8 consecutive titles? did Beckenbauer score 65 goals in a season... whether a player is 'world class' or not and even the meaning of that expression is open to debate and interpretation and for me stats about achievements arent strong enough evidence for the debate.

my own view.. world class talent...to seldomly demonstrated on the big occasion.
