accomodation in amsterdam

anyone know or recommend some cheap places to stay in amsterdam or some good sites.
after a double room, not a dorm or something like that.

No need to pre-book. There's plenty of B&B's round the red light district if you're not looking for anything too salubrious. Somewhere to sling yer bags for the afternoon, go out, get pissed, stoned and shagged then back for a couple of hours sleep.

Thats all you need.

Door shut at 11 but managed to get a drink at the bar when we got back. Not sure who we booked it with though as booking was made late Dec. Cracking 2 days, 4 of us went to watch Arsenal in Eindhoven, 2 Arse and 2 B'ton fans. Met more lads from Brighton over there than actual Arse fans, miserable gits..

The flying Pig, a hostel but can get twin rooms. 24hr Bar, chill out room, 10 mins walk from station in the "lanes" area. Very close to everything but not bad area.

Very good choice. We always stay here when we go over for a weekend of ..............um sight seeing

Stayed in the Hotel Luxer this weekend. Top location (plenty of "coffee shops" in the street it's on) right in the middle of everything, and the hotel wasn't at all bad. Would definitely stay there again.

I got a tremendous deal in a Radisson SAS hotel in the centre of the city, about a five minute walk from the action area. Lovely hotel.
