Why don't you move much much closer to work, like walking distance, then you should never be troubled by such problems, thus meaning we don't have to listen to your asrsed baked comments.

To a certain degree that is correct, however rather simplistic.

I worked locally for 20 odd years and whilst most times i enjoyed my work, and th companies were good to work for, the problem was trying to better oneself financially.

Whatever the circumstances, Sussex based wages do not compete with London wages - even after taking into account travel expenses and also once London has got you, it is very difficult to take the "drop" in wages. In this cicumstance, you take the travelling and disruption as a occupational hazzard and when all is said and done, train delays or serious accidents like yesterday are thankfully few and far between.
