I'd have to say no but " A touch too much" IS one of the greatest rock n' roll songs of all time. Christ, crank up the volume and play that after a couple of cold ones. What a tune.

The funniest thing was they didn't notice, and carried on playing even though we couldn't hear them.

It was 1979 by the way, the same day most other Albion fans were watching us lose 4-0 to Arsenal on our Div 1 debut - as Hugh Cornwell delighted in pointing out when the Stranglers played...

I stand corrected, you're absolutely right - I didn't think very hard about it. I remember Hugh telling us the score and I didn't beleive him (don't know why).

I also remember Nils Lofgren on his trampoline on stage !!

The NME review headline the next week was:

"Mr Trampoline Man"

Thanks Greens :(
Dunno if they're the BEST, but deffo one of the most enduring, along with Rush, Springsteen, Maiden etc...

With only the enforced change of singer, they must have released twenty odd albums in the last thirty years or so...

Saw them five times between '87 and '01 and they were always stunning :guns:

Def the best ever rock band by a mile, seen them many times but sadly only with Brian Johnson as lead singer, but got into them when Bonn Scott RIP was still alive.

ONE of the best.

I only ever saw them with Bon Scott, and basically they were a decent barrage of noise, with a sense of humour thrown in. So, all the gigs I saw with them were a laugh, and they were pretty solid, consistent, and the music was good.

The first time I remember well - it was down the Top Rank on a Tuesday night with about 50 people there. Angus got so snotty it was going over his crimson velvet shool uniform, and one of my female friends was right in front of him ...and she almost threw up in disgust when some snot was hanging down from his nose and almost coming off his face :lolol:
It was a bit disgusting, and I was wondering how many brain cells were dying while he was so aggressively wagging his head and duckwalking around.
All in all though, they put loads of energy into their music and got the attention they deserved from it. Bon Scott was a good frontman for them, and a mental singer with that voice.

Probably not the best, but ONE of the best. My favourite anyway.

Back in Black, Whole Lotta Rosie, Shook me all night long, For those about to rock, Highway to Hell...and they're just some of the 'well known' ones.

Brilliant band.

Seen So many bands in my time, all over the world, but have to say that no one comes close To AC/DC. Your views pls

They couldn't carrry a tune in a bucket, famous more for their longevity rather than their talent... saw them and I'm afraid to say Thin Lizzy blew them away, Phil Lynott was a genuine loss to the music industry, Bon Scott was an inconvenience.

I was there that day and remember Cormwall rubbing that in.

I took a bird on a first date to see AC/DC on the "for those about to rock tour" in 1983.I was completely shit faced and treated her to the worst date
ever. ... Anyway we celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary next year!!

Are they the best rock band ever? Depends on opinion,in my view no,but they are bloody good
