I'd have to say no but " A touch too much" IS one of the greatest rock n' roll songs of all time. Christ, crank up the volume and play that after a couple of cold ones. What a tune.
The funniest thing was they didn't notice, and carried on playing even though we couldn't hear them.
It was 1979 by the way, the same day most other Albion fans were watching us lose 4-0 to Arsenal on our Div 1 debut - as Hugh Cornwell delighted in pointing out when the Stranglers played...![]()
I stand corrected, you're absolutely right - I didn't think very hard about it. I remember Hugh telling us the score and I didn't beleive him (don't know why).
I also remember Nils Lofgren on his trampoline on stage !!
