There I was with a gaggle of pissed up England fans (mostly Northerners) in my local - the NRG sports bar in Le Meridien, Abu Dhabi last night when some dude walks by in the stripes!! Only club shirt being sported that evening!!

Needless to say i acosted the gentleman who was equally pleased to see a fellow Seagull - he's not a NSC member but good work chap:clap:

E-mails were exchanged and the fledgling Abu Dhabi Branch of Seagulls Supporters was formed.

Just hope we get some League 1 coverage over here for next season

Not so far off the beaten track, but last weekend I went to the Big Session festival in Leicester.

Whilst ambling round the stalls with my "Hard Tackle" T shirt on, one of the people on a stall commented "blimey, another Seagulls fan. It doesn't matter where you go, you always meet them".

The following morning, we wandered into Leicester city centre for breakfast. On the way back, we passed someone wearing a British Caledonian shirt.

Then, of course, The Levellers were playing there, along with Martha Tilston and former Brighton residents Nizlopi, so Brighton was well represented!

Mr. Sullivan - the bands you mention are not the sort that you would expect a sensible Vauxhall Zafira driving Quantity Surveyor to be into.

Do you have some skeletons in your closet? A dark grungy past perchance?

I was visiting my Godfather's daughter in March and went to pick up her kids from a school sports tournament in Shaftesbury. Guess what sticker a car in the road the school is in had on it? And I was regularly passed by a car covered in stripes stickers when I used to go for my morning constitutional when I was at university in Buckingham. There's Brighton there, there's Brighton there.........

I've just been sampling the local music scene a bit more in the last year or two.

It was the first time I'd seen the Levellers, actually. Bloody good, aren't they?

It does get better.

Strolling out of the Ukraine v Tunisia game (slightly oiled) we bumped into Martin (Oapdodge) and his cronies. Thereafter followed a few renditions of GOSBTS to bemused Ukrainians. And when we told one of our party was Orient it was 'We'll never play you again' and then we spotted a guy in a Pompey shirt and gave it some 'We 'ate Pompey and we 'ate Pompey'

Marvellous, if a little boistrous, scenes

Come on, Jim, I know you've been away a while, but that one has already come back to bite us. Had you not noticed we actually do have to play them again, now? How could Dick Knight let it come to this? :lolol:
