Hi, yes I had seen that and followed it fine until part 8 when it wants me to "insert the Ultranova editor plug in into a midi track" - not sure if I am missing something there? I gave created a midi track using the Ultranova at this point but don't know if I am following the instructions correctly!

Thanks, looks like Novation isn't showing up in my VST plugin, tried everything but can't sort it, grrr...

Then it looks like your Ableton isn't looking in the right place for it. Did you notice during during installation where the vst plugin was installed?

Novation is showing in my VST plugin folder, which is where I am pointing Ableton to, but it doesn't pick it up?

Yep done that... Still nothing showing!

And the file in your VST plugins folder has a .dll extension?

Sure does, I even installed a supposed work around called Sapphire, their files show but Novation still doesn't even though when I go onto my c drive it shows sapphire and fruity loops...

In Ableton Preferences do you have the 'Use VST system folders' and 'Use VST custom folder' buttons checked?

I do. Think all I can do is uninstall everything and start again, never know might help!

I was going to suggest exactly that. Just one other thing that might be an issue - Is your OS and Ableton 64 or 32 bit and are you using the correct (32 or 64 bit version) of the plugin?

Other than that I think I'm all out of ideas.

Maybe Ableton tech support should be your next port of call.
