A DULLARD was on Radio Humberside yesterday boring rigid the good people of the region. He asked one of the presenters off air about that happened to AC and this was the reply

“He got a bad injury during our home game against Norwich, smashed by Angus Gunn. Never the same again. He seemed to drop out of favour with Rosenior. Interesting he still hasn’t got a club. He’s been turning up to City games”

Shin pads are a relic of the days when players used to dribble the ball up the field in a pack. Lots of hacking went on from the opposition trying to retrieve the ball. They don’t really serve much purpose in the modern game and certainly don’t prevent serious injuries.
What was the contract he had with us.

City games? MANCHESTER?

Just waiting for Haaland to break a leg.

One of our (Ireland's) biggest disappointments in recent years. That brace as a 19 year old... and now scrambling for a club at 24.

He's still got Championship quality, as seen by his stint at Hull. But his off the pitch lifestyle is an issue.

Going to Sunderland. Last chance saloon I imagine. Hopefully he has finally sorted himself out and will take his last chance at having a decent career.

He'll carry Sunderland to the Premier League.

You read it here first. And also maybe last.

Hope so. It would be a brilliant story for someone like him to finally bury their demons and fulfill their potential. He’d then be a great player for them to have as a role model to the youngsters etc.

Sadly, I predict it will end with 3 goals in 30 appearances, in and out of the side, couple of misdemeanours on the Quayside in Newcastle, ‘struggling to settle’ etc and finally signing for Crawley Town next year, which seems to have been his destiny all along.

I really, genuinely hope I’m wrong, and that the lad has finally got out of his own way. But we shall see.

You'd hope this time without a club may have given him some time to re-evaluate his approach. The stories swirling around him such that it was tough to distinguish between the true and the false, but whatever the truth his career has slowed to a stop and a period of reflection may be the best thing for him.

A bit of hard work, commitment and some luck could mean that he gets on the right track again. Fingers crossed for him, there's a player in there, but only he can find it.

8 in 13 for Hull last season shows he can cut it. Just needs to stay fit, focussed and avoid off the field distractions

Quite a few “ifs” there.

A big move that ends up with Connolly on the market.

Or Connolly moves and ends up in the Bigg Market.
