[News] A23 Road closed

Road closed at the Pyecombe Texaco garage, the usual 45 min commute to Crawley is now going to take 2+hours.

Any one know is this planned works or what’s going on? Can’t see any signs whilst sitting in the traffic other than the road closed signs.

Fully electric trucks and cars will solve this through the passage of time .

Aside from the fuel spilllage there’s also a hole on the A23, the police are looking into it.

Not being an RTA, I doubt that the Old Bill would get involved with a local Roads Dept issue.

I went via the way that Waze suggested, which was up to Pyecombe and then along New Way Lane to Hurstpierpoint and onto the A23 at Hickstead via Sayers Common. It added 10 mins onto my journey and was very scenic.
