Thanks for the observations. "A Triallist" took me back to the 50's/60's when a lad might pull a sickie to get a chance to play a game for the Albion third team in the South Eastern Counties League, and wasn't named so his boss didn't find out!

Didn't Ian Wright play for our reserves as 'A Trialist' once?

So, you are telling me that when media outlets say "A Triallist" it's because they just can't be arsed to find out teh players name?

Meh.

"Meh" all you like...You said there are regulations that media aren't allowed to mention triallists names and you're not correct. There are no media restrictions on clubs or anyone naming players they have on trial and I suggest you go through the various pre-season and reserve/Development team match reports where clubs, not just the Albion, play triallists all the time.

I'm sure you'll find out in good time that the real reason why the club didn't want those players named and it'll be for a perfectly good reason...e.g.. they're possibly already contracted to another club or as another post has alluded to, the Albion don't want the likes of Southampton sniffing around a player who might be being released in January.

Just wait and see - all will be revealed in the transfer window!

WIcki Pedia says he is on trial with the Hammers?

Was until a couple of weeks back, but seeing as they have Baldock, Cole, Piquionne and Carew I doubt he'd get a look in. It's in the Argus that we've extended his trial, so he's definitely with us.
