Following on from the rules that we all agreed to when we signed up, what constitutes vulgarity?

It's defined (from Encarta) as:

vulgar [ vúlgər ]

adjective

Definition:

1. crude or indecent: crude or obscene, particularly with regard to sex or bodily functions

vulgar language

2. tasteless or ostentatious: showing a lack of taste or reasonable moderation

3. lacking refinement: lacking in courtesy and manners

4. language of ordinary people's language: relating to a form of a language spoken by people generally

5. of ordinary people: relating to the majority of people ( archaic )

So, what would you say goes beyond demonstrating a "lack of taste"?

Is there a 'broken record' smiley??

Why do some of you get so hung up with what's posted on here? It's a frickin message board! It's not like it's even that personal, considering i very much doubt that many people know who most posters are.

Most people don't use their real names.... so it's not like your 'real world' reputation is damaged.

Christ, surely someone's called you a cock before??... would you hold that against them for ages as well???
