Oh I've just reminded myself of The Streets debut gramophone record.
God I loved this, back in the day.

My all time favourite artist. Seen them live twice and they've been fantastic both times. Not many acts capture a snapshot of a time in somebodies life quite like The Streets did. OPM and AGDCFF both nail the feeling of being 18-21 and going out, meeting girls, experimenting with drugs etc.

Not heard of George the Poet before but really enjoyed that, a mastery with words indeed. Thanks for sharing,

I doubt many people have, he's yet to release a full album and that song is off his first and only EP. I only stumbled across him as a lot of acts now get him to do an Into/Outro for their album, Krept and Konan & Naughty Boy being the first two examples that jump to mind. Worth giving the whole of that EP a whirl, it's about the Chicken and Egg cycle of Single Parents, really good little release. Supposed to be dropping his first proper album this year too.

The Irony of it All.
No prizes for guessing how far I've got listening to OPM.
I'd kind of forgotten just how clever/spot on/funny/right this track is:-

Was a corker.....shame they never got close creating anything that good again.

This IMO was the best track on the album

This lot love a bit of spoken word interplay. Bit of an acquired taste.
