Ok the announcement was cheesy but it still gives me goosebumps.
What a deadline day signing that was.
Shame he didn't last the whole season, but some great memories still.

The best type of signing announcement is when a player joins, comes in through the back door, no fanfare, no big media razzmatazz, is selected for the first league game of the season, bangs in a hat-trick and leaves the field to rapturous applause. Unexpected wonderment rather than damp squib realisation.
