i remember , the scummers were the other side of the fence at the back of those flats in the park if i recall .

luton and oxford were lively days too, running battles before and after the game in luton, remember it going around the shopping area before hand with some brighton being held on the walkways over the road while it was going off down below
when we were let through everyone steamed in again

do remember during the game that day a few WSF climbing over the fences of the Luton end and getting an escort back into the away section

after the game brighton and luton clashed down on the main road with running battles back to the station

Oxford , long walk to the ground ,Oxford's firm were in the side terrace next to the away section a couple of oxford were in with us but tried to say the weren't, funny thing was at the final whistle they couldn't wait to climb over the fence to get away

straight out of the ground turn right and BHA made a charge onto the main road, not that many but Oxford were taken by surprise OB moved in rounded everybody up and escorted back into town , met up with a few more on the way back ,it was dark by now and the main centre was still busy so the police were trying to keep every one together

you knew that Oxford were around but weren't quite sure if they would have a pop again, as it was got back to oxford station and got put onto the platform ,had a while to wait for the train and some oxford did venture down but only a handfull this was the start of some serious rivalry between the two sets ,most notable was when it kicked off in town while the game was going on but that's all in the past also the year when brighton were put in the ground by 1.30pm
