It's not been as squeaky bum time with Brez in goal. He really has played well since coming in after the Coventry debarkle. Ankergren doesn't seem to be bothered. The body language says it all and I for one do not want to see Ankergren on our books next season. What has happened to David Gonzalez? For me the goalie postition is still one of the weakest links. Be honest.....if we had a goalie like Readings' last night would you feel happier??? He was their match winner!!!

Pork pie land.
Why does everyone keep saying this?

Brezovan was absolutely quality today, kept us in the game at points.

That save in the first half where he dived down to his bottom left and got a hand to the ball, how he saved that i'll never know.

If he keeps this form up i'd happily keep him next season.

Thoughts?

(I'd also like to say, quality performances from AEA and Navarro tonight).

My thoughts are this. One match does not make, or break, a good player. It is all about consistency. neither Brezovan nor Ankagren are consistent enough over a season. They cost us too many points with their mistakes.

No doubting Brez has been sound since he came in, but his distribution is inconsistent to say the least.

Plus there is always the fear with him that a mistake is imminent and going by the past they're normally big ones.

Can't knock him recently though, he's been excellent.

It was certainly the distribution that most people I heard moaning about. It was pretty poor last night but at times he wasn't helped by the wingers not moving out quick enough. Thought El-Abd did his job for him distribution wise at times. But he was often unsure who to throw it to and a little hesitant. Nothing wrong with his shot stopping but distribution is a key asset for this team and the way it plays so we need to keep looking.

He's been fairly consistent. But we need a more experienced GK if we want to properly challenge next season imo. Just look at Federici. Quality shot stopper and his distribution was amazing compared to Brez

Brez is basically sound with his handling but i think its his footwork/kicking which lets him down . Did anyone notice how comfortable Federici looked on the ball compared to Brez ?
