Stuart Gray is DK's preferred choice at the moment.

This is not a dogs , sisters Aunt type thing, it is an unsubstantiated rumour, but one the I trust.

I have NEVER posted a rumour before, and people who know me will vouch.

The source was in confidence, so I will not break that. But I haven't just made this up etc.

I'm sorry but cannot believe until I hear it. When SC went, many people were saying the same thing, and refused to break the confidents trust. They were in fact bull :censored: ing.

You may be right, but holding out until DK makes a conference.:)

I agree BB, I will state that this was not a SG has the job rumour, but it was a 'Prefered Choice' coming out of the club at a reasonably high level

Please God,NO!, He's got no record at this level, has never worked with no money before and was useless for the saints.

Except Soton Seagull who also refused to name his source over SC, but was proved right a couple of days later.

I frigging well hope not:censored: :censored: :censored:

As DT says-he was shit at Saints.

If DK goes for Gray then I for one will seriously question his sanity.

I trust him too-unless he appoints Gray.

It'll even his record up though...three good 'uns and three muppets.

I don't know his stats but isn't Sir Alex a big fan of his..?
I seem to remember him being quite vocal in support at his sacking....

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
Is he ?

I am not sure, although there is absolutely no doubt he has been seen by DK, but is it to offer him the job, or even for an interview, or it there another agenda.

Hasn't Gray 'advised' DK on managerial and other matters before ?

How long did Stuart Gray get at Southampton? Sometimes managers need longer than you hope to bed in a side. Take Paul Jewell - at Bradford and Wigan he's produced top notch sides that took over a year to find their feet. Yet at Sheff Wed, he was shown the door before he'd finshed the job.

I know everyone is cacking themselves at the thought of Stuart Gray joining the club, but if DK has interviewed him and was impressed at what he was told, it might be fair to give him a chance. If Sir Alex thinks he can do the job, then you've got to take him a bit seriously as it shows he has contacts in the game, if nothing else. Wasn't that the best thing about Coppell's rein?

Dick Knight enjoys bringing in a 'name'. I'm not saying for one second it won't be Gray, but he's not the sort of glamour name that Dick Knight likes.

I heard Ray Wilkins mentioned today...

Were the words 'Ray' and 'Wilkins' preceeded by the words, 'One man who definitely will not be Brighton manager ever is' ?

This is the only thing that confuses me, DK is a PR man, SG is not a great PR name, so if it happens, how will DK spin it ?

(Maybe make SG appear on bill boards wearing a bra saying 'Hello Boys' mmm, maybe not)

I'm inclined to agree with simster.

I'm also of the opinion there are an awful lot of 'oh no not Stuart Gray' posts from people I dont think know a great deal about the guy. (not neciseraly on this thread)

Not my first choice of course either.
