I believe we did have a cathartic moment here, for this season, which will see our fortunes changing. Not against Leicester City though, and not today against Millwall either - but in a match we LOST up at Hartlepool.

It sometimes takes a team bonding match, for the players to take a loss they don't like, and feel some injustice about - dented pride to make them realize they do have some!

Or is it too soon to make assumptions that we're getting anywhere but lower mid-table?

I just think there is a lot more confidence and some very good loans in as well however I do not agree with Virgo up front.

Well it's not making an assumption to believe we're getting somewhere. I've always believed we have the players for a top 6 finish and that anyone panicking was being far too premature and lacking in perspective.

What I can't quite see is how a shit match at Hartlepool is a turning point??

It's about pride.
Goal against scored immediately after FDM made a really brilliant save.
Shit match at the second farthest 1st Division club in England, and a place where several players went last season when it ended in a barney.

I agree

But what has been going wrong with the home games before today?
Why wasn't there any "pride" in the team?

I think the problem is our loans.....not only is it a advantage, but it is also a problem.

I am not sure if Leeds will allow Johnson to play on Tue, and I dont know if Cov will allow Thornton to play.

Loans are good there is no doubt about it, however we must not be carried away with this. So long as we can now look forward to replacing our loanees with equal or better players then it will work in our favour. If not, then there is a problem

Seems to me - and others who spoke to today - that our season got better as soon as Robbie Savage never appeared for the second half on Tuesday. He seemed to have fulfilled his mission by that point i.e. to teach the btrrainless fucks to play it on the ground. Cheers Robbie, we owe you bigtime

Nothing to do with Johnson then...?

Good point, well made. Boy's contribution has been severely overlooked by myself and others. All been CRACKING shots on goal, all the sort of thing we were expecting McLeod to deliver. If we can convert the present inspired loanees into permanent players, then we may yet do OK this season
